2010 Nonprofit Business Award Applications Due April 16

Nonprofit Alliance wants to recognize a deserving nonprofit member that utilizes best business practices! Is that your organization?
In commemoration of the U.S. Small Business Administration's Small Business Week, the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce, Nonprofit Alliance, Urban League of Battle Creek, and Regional Health Alliance have joined together to recognize deserving organizations that utilize best business practices.
Please take a moment to fill out the Nonprofit Business Award application for your organization. The deadline is Friday, April 16, 2010.
Finalists will be introduced at the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce Eye Opener Breakfast on May 4, 2010 at the Burnham Brook Community Center at 7:30 am. Finalists will also receive recognition in the local media through various mediums including the Insight and AccessVision and Nonprofit Alliance website.
The winner of the 2010 Nonprofit Business Awards will also be announced at the Eye Opener.
The 2010 Nonprofit Business Award winner will receive:
· A $500 scholarship for capacity building (for training, publication or consulting fees)
· A framed certificate of their business award
· Logo placement in the Nonprofit Alliance e-newsletter and website for the year

Eligibility Requirements
· 501(c)3 Nonprofit
· Located or provide service to the greater Battle Creek area
· Member of the Nonprofit Alliance or the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce
Evaluation criteria is based on your organization’s 2009:
· Business Performance
· Management Performance
· Effectiveness in addressing mission
