The
Miller Foundation makes grants to eligible Battle Creek Area projects only. Grantees (which are
not governmental or religious organizations) must have a letter from the
Internal Revenue Service determining that it is a 501 (c)(3) organization
which is not a private foundation within the meaning of 509(a) of the Internal
Revenue Code.
Charitable organizations should send an initial letter to The Miller Foundation. This
letter should briefly describe the project or program and how it will address
one of the focuses of the Foundation outlined above, the amount to be requested
from the Miller Foundation as well as any amount being requested from other
foundations.
After reviewing this initial letter, The Miller Foundation staff will, if appropriate, send a formal grant application to the requesting organization.
