Summit Pointe seeks a contractual MST Therapist.  Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Therapist shall be actively involved in the development and implementation of the MST Program.  MST is an intensive family-and community-based treatment that addresses the multiple determinants of serious anti-social behavior in juvenile offenders.  The multi-systemic approach views individuals as being nested within a complex network of interconnected systems that encompass individual, family, and extra familial (peer, school, neighborhood) factors.  Primary goals of MST are to eliminate, or significantly reduce, the frequency and severity of a youth's referral behavior(s); and empowering the parents with the skills and resources needed to independently address the inevitable difficulties that arise in raising children and adolescents; and to empower youth to cope with family, peers, school, and neighborhood problems.  Treatment goals shall be identified and written objectively and shall be easily measurable; will focus directly on the referral/target behavior(s); and will incorporate desired outcomes of caregivers and other key participants.  The MST Therapist will conduct MST assessments and individualized plans of service and shall maintain record compliance utilizing electronic/hard copy record formats.  Must obtain and maintain professional liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence; $3,000,000 aggregate.  Shall ensure compliance with competency requirements.  After-hours on-call availability required.  Qualifications and Capabilities: Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field with Certification in the State of Michigan as a Licensed Master's Level Social Worker (LMSW) or Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); Must meet requirements of a Child Mental Health Therapist as identified by the Michigan Department of Community Health; Two years of experience in providing adolescent behavioral healthcare.  Must participate in all MST required trainings; conducting YASI Full Assessments; and CAFAS training modules; One year of computer experience - Word, Excel, and electronic medical record software preferred.  To To Apply: All applicants must submit an individual employment application and resume for this position to Summit Pointe, Attention: Director of Human Resources, 140 W.
