How the collection started

The Nonprofit & Funding Resource Collection (NFRC) provides a comprehensive collection of materials which assist nonprofit organizations in diversifying their funding bases, and in training their staff to become more skilled in fund development and nonprofit management. The NFRC collection, originally funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, was donated to Willard Library by the Battle Creek Community Foundation in 1995.

What makes us special

The Nonprofit & Funding Resource Collection is one of only two nonprofit research libraries in Southwest Michigan selected as a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center of New York. The collection features the latest research on private foundations and corporations. The Collection provides information and resources to help nonprofit organizations enhance their leadership and administrative capacities, and provides funding research that assist grantseekers in identifying appropriate funders and developing targeted proposals.

Most materials are available for check out by Willard Library cardholders. Special lending arrangements can be made for individuals living outside the library district boundaries. Assistance is provided by Willard reference staff during regular library hours. Intensive assistance is available to members of the NonProfit Alliance.
