Nonprofits always have ideas about how to make our community a better place in which to live and work. They periodically engage in strategic planning to articulate mission, vision and strategies. Perhaps more essential from a dollar and cents perspectives is a business plan. This type of plan helps you develop the financial model for the organization: where is your money coming from and how will it be used. The plan is very focused and specific and includes budget projections, asset analyses, competitive environment reviews and resource allocations.
