Saturday, January 28 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Battle Creek Family YMCA will be "Show me the Money" Day 2012 featuring free tax preparation (income < $50,000), free financial workshops and more.
Representative Kate Segal will provide opening remarks and area organizations will be offering table presentations. Food and prizes for all attendees. Day care for infants-12 years provided.

Given these economic times, charitable organizations continue to have a great need for financial assistance.
OMNI Community Credit Union has announced it will be distributing $50,000 throughout 2012 through its “OMNI Gives Back” Grant program. Distributions through the grant program will be made to charitable organizations throughout Southwest Michigan.
